How Ugandan Gold Is Priced
Ugandan gold exports are typically priced as a percentage of the prevailing LBMA spot price, discounted for dore content (purity), processing, and logistics. Gold dore bars at 87.5% Au may net approximately 85–87% of spot per gram of gold content, after refining deductions.
LBMA Fix vs Spot Price
The LBMA publishes a formal gold price twice daily (AM and PM fix). This is the official benchmark for institutional gold contracts. The spot price shown above is real-time over-the-counter (OTC) trading price, which closely tracks but may diverge slightly from the Fix.
